Problem
Praesidium does not accept the license, cannot reach the licensing service, or reports that the license is already active elsewhere.
Likely causes
- The account session has expired or uses a different email from the license owner.
- The key contains a missing character or an extra space.
- The license is already bound to another active device.
- The PC clock, network, VPN, proxy, or security software is preventing a secure validation request.
Steps to resolve
- Confirm you can sign in at the Aeternum Customer Account and see the license under Licenses.
- Copy the key again from the account instead of retyping it.
- Review Devices and deactivate an old installation before authorizing a replacement.
- Confirm Windows date, time, and time zone are correct.
- Temporarily disconnect a VPN or restrictive proxy, then retry. Do not disable Microsoft Defender.
- Restart Praesidium and try activation once more.
Still need help?
Contact Aeternum Support with the visible error message, Praesidium version, and whether the license appears in your account. Never send the full license key; the last four characters are sufficient for identification.
