Praesidium Core is free forever and never requires a paid license. Each eligible installation receives one persistent 30-day Premium trial beginning on its first eligible launch.
30 days Premium
The trial begins on an eligible first launch and keeps protected start and end timestamps.

Starting the trial does not require payment information.
No automatic subscription
The trial ends without billing, subscription enrollment, or automatic renewal.
Returns to Core
Trial expiration removes Premium authorization; it never disables the application.

Each Praesidium PC Defense Premium purchase provides one license key for one active device. The activation is bound to the device identity verified by the licensing service.
Activate
Enter the activation credential and authorize the device against the paid entitlement.
Review
See the registered device in the signed-in customer portal.
Deactivate
Remove the registered device before replacing it or moving the license.
Reauthorize
A reinstall or material hardware change may require activation again. Contact support if the previous device cannot be deactivated.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Qualifying current Praesidium Premium purchases are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase under Aeternum’s money-back guarantee. Customers requesting a refund within this period are not required to provide a reason; any feedback is optional.

Open the Aeternum customer portal using the account tied to the purchase.
Request
In Billing, select Request refund for an eligible full purchase within 30 days. No explanation is required.
Verify & return
After Aeternum verifies the request is within the guarantee window and matches the authenticated purchase, Aeternum submits the full refund to the original payment method through Stripe.
License transition
A completed full refund disables the linked paid entitlement, licenses, and active devices; Praesidium falls back to remaining trial time or Core.
Consumer rights remain unaffected
This voluntary guarantee is provided in addition to any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Processing time
After Aeternum submits the refund through Stripe, the time until funds appear is controlled by Stripe and the customer’s financial institution. Open the customer portal.
05 // Updates & major versions
Current rights, stated conservatively.
The perpetual license grants continuing Premium authorization for the purchased Praesidium product under the terms shown at checkout. It is not a blanket promise that every future product or major release will be included.
Available updates are described in the public Release Record. The desktop verifies release integrity before launch.
If Aeternum introduces a separate major-version commercial policy, eligibility and pricing will be stated before the customer chooses it.

Does the free trial start a subscription?
No. The 30-day Premium trial does not require a card, does not create a subscription, and does not renew automatically.
What happens after the trial?
Premium features turn off and the application continues in Core. Core remains free and usable indefinitely.
Is $79.99 a recurring charge?
No. The current Praesidium Premium offer is a one-time USD $79.99 purchase, plus applicable tax shown at checkout.
How many devices can I activate?
Each Praesidium PC Defense Premium purchase provides one license key for one active device. Purchase an additional license for each additional PC.
Will reinstalling create another trial?
No. The original trial is designed to persist through an ordinary restart, update, or reinstall. It is not reissued to extend the 30-day period.
How do I request a refund?
Sign in to the customer portal, open Billing, and select Request refund for an eligible full purchase within 30 days of purchase. You do not need to provide a reason; any feedback is optional.
Do my consumer rights end after 30 days?
No. Aeternum’s 30-day money-back guarantee is a voluntary commercial guarantee provided in addition to any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.
What changes after a full refund?
The linked paid entitlement, issued licenses, and active device authorizations are disabled. If an original trial remains, Praesidium uses it; otherwise the app returns to Core.
Are all future major versions included?
The perpetual license covers the purchased Praesidium Premium product under the terms presented at checkout. A future major-version policy may differ and will be announced release by release; no blanket promise is made here.
