Installing Praesidium

Before you begin

Download Praesidium only from the official Aeternum product or release page. The current production installer is PraesidiumPC-Setup-2.38.6-x64.exe.

• Use Windows 10 22H2 x64 or a current Windows 11 x64 release.
• Keep administrator approval available for installation and protected repairs.
• Close an older Praesidium instance before starting the installer.

Install Praesidium

1. Download the installer from the Praesidium product page.
2. Open the downloaded file. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen appears, inspect the publisher before continuing.
3. Approve the Windows administrator prompt only after confirming the publisher is Aeternum IT Solutions LLC.
4. Follow the installer prompts, then open Praesidium PC Defense from the Start menu.
5. On first launch, choose Simple or Advanced view and begin with a read-only scan.
